Maryland Deathfest is a four day festival, running from May 21st to May 24th.  Over 80 bands are playing at 3 different venues in Baltimore City. Tickets options are selling quickly. You can still combine remaining single-day options if multi-day options are sold out.

Decrypt is a technical death metal/grind band from Crown, Indiana.

Martyr

Martyr is a Canadian death metal band from Trois-Rivières, Québec, founded in 1994 by brothers Daniel and François Mongrain. Their musical style consist of mostly progressive use of melodics and variations of thrash and death metal influences.

Gnostic

Gnostic is a technical death metal band from Atlanta, Georgia.  Formed by Steve Flynn, ex-drummer of Atheist in 2005, after a long personal hiatus from playing music.  The group also has two other former members of Atheist in their lineup.  

The Red Chord

The Red Chord was formed in Revere, Massachusetts in 1999.  The band's name is derived from Alban Berg's opera Wozzeck, in which a schizophrenic man slits his lover's throat, then reverts to his normal self and asks, "My love, what is that red cord across your neck?".  

Cephalic Carnage

Cephalic Carnage is an American grindcore band formed in 1992 in Denver, Colorado. Cephalic Carnage play a technically proficient deathgrind style, progressively experiment with other genres, and incorporate songs of joke nature into their albums, such as parodies of black metal or metalcore. They refer themselves as "rocky mountain hydro grind".  Cephalic Carnage will be featuring an old school set at Maryland Deathfest 2015, with a set featuring material from their first three albums.

Malignancy

Malignancy is a brutal death metal band from Yonkers, New York formed in 1992.

Gorod

Gorod is a technical death metal band from Bordeaux, France. They formed in 1997 under the name Gorgasm, releasing their debut album Neurotripsicks on Deadsun Records in 2004. They changed their name to Gorod in 2005 to avoid confusion with an American band also called Gorgasm, re-releasing their debut album on Willowtip Records in 2005.

Pestilence

Pestilence is a death metal band from the Netherlands founded in 1986. They are known for incorporating jazz and fusion elements into their music. After disbanding in order to pursue other musical directions in 1994, Pestilence reunited in 2008.

Gorguts

Gorguts is a technical death metal band from Quebec.  They are considered to be one of the premier acts of the genre with a very progressive, avante-garde style.  Formed in 1989, their line-up today consists of only one original member, vocalist/guitarist Luc Lemay.  After going on hiatus from 2005-2008, Lemay announced that the group would reunite with a new lineup.  The next few years were spent playing shows (including an appearance at MDF in 2010) and writing material for a new album.
