Maryland Deathfest is a four day festival, running from May 21st to May 24th.  Over 80 bands are playing at 3 different venues in Baltimore City. Tickets options are selling quickly. You can still combine remaining single-day options if multi-day options are sold out.

Primitive Man

Primitive Man is a sludge/doom band from Denver, Colorado.

Mantar

Mantar is a sludge/doom metal band from Hamburg, Germany.

Inter Arma

Inter Arma is a blackened sludge/post-metal band from Richmond, Virginia.

Serpentine Path

Serpentine Path formed from the ashes of Unearthly Trance in 2011.

Sourvein

Sourvein are a doom/sludge band who formed in 1993 in Cape Fear, North Carolina.  Singer, and only original member, T-Roy also did samples and sang backup vocals for sludge greats Buzzoven until their initial demise in 1998.  Sourvein will be performing their final show at Maryland Deathfest in 2014.

Seven Sisters of Sleep

Seven Sisters of Sleep are a Los Angeles based sludge band that formed in 2010.  Since their formation, they've released several splits and full length albums on prominent labels such as Southern Lord and A389 Recordings.  Seven Sisters of Sleep will be making their first Maryland Deathfest appearance in 2014.

Torche

Torche is a sludge/stoner metal outfit from Miami, Florida.  Since 2004, Torche have been bringing their unique, hard-hitting sound to audiences worldwide, and have garnered much attention both inside and outside the metal scene.  The past few years have seen Torche touring extensively, and they will be making their first appearance at Maryland Deathfest in 2014.

Whitehorse

Since 2004, Melbourne, Australias' Whitehorse have been an important part of the Australian underground metal scene. Drafting members from the punk, grindcore, experimental, rock, and noise scenes Whitehorse often garner comparisons to the likes of Corrupted, Khanate and Winter.  With twelve releases and 3 U.S. tours under their belt, Whitehorse are ready to bring their unique Austrlian doom/sludge to Maryland Deathfest in 2014.

Crowbar

Crowbar are a sludge/doom band from New Orleans, Louisiana.  Originally formed in 1988, Crowbar is widely considered to be one of the most influential metal acts to come out of New Orleans, a city well known for it's own unique brand of heavy music.  Crowbar were one of the premier bands to play sludge and doom metal, and after 25 years are still widely influential.  Crowbar have also been associated with many other premier acts in heavy metal, and (past and current) members have played with such bands as Acid Bath, Soilent Green, Goatwhore, Down, and Eyehategod.  

Soilent Green

Soilent Green formed in 1988 in Metarie, Louisiana (a suburb of New Orleans); the band is named after the 70's sci-fi movie Soilent Green.  After releasing several demos and splits in the early 90's, the band blasted onto the scene after signing with Relapse records and releasing several highly acclaimed records, even being mentioned in Rolling Stone magazine for their 1998 release, Sewn Mouth Secrets.
