Maryland Deathfest is a four day festival, running from May 21st to May 24th. Over 80 bands are playing at 3 different venues in Baltimore City.
Ulcerate
Ulcerate is a death metal band from Auckland, New Zealand. Formed in 2000 as Bloodwreath, they changed their name to Ulcerate in 2002. In 2012, Ulcerate made their first appearance at Maryland Deathfest, and also signed to Relapse Records. 2013 saw Ulcerate release their fourth full-length album, titled "Vermis", to high praise in the death metal community. Maryland Deathfest 2014 will be the second performance from New Zealand metal greats Ulcerate.
