Witchrist

Witchrist are a death/doom/black metal band from Auckland, New Zealand.  Formed in 2008, Witchrist shares half their lineup with fellow New Zealand "Doom Cult" members, Diocletian.  Playing a unique mix of blackened death metal mixed with epic doom, Witchrist incorporates the darker side of eastern Asian religions and mythology into their lyrical and artistic themes.  Their 2012 release, The Grand Tormentor, received high praises, and caught the attention of the international metal community.

Exhale

Exhale is a Swedish death metal/goregrind band formed in 2004, influenced by such acts as Nasum, Misery Index, Rotten Sound, Entombed, and more.     

Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation

Flagitious Idiosyncrasy in the Dilapidation (also known as FID) is an all female grindcore/death metal band hailing from Tokyo, Japan.  

Jigsore Terror

Jigsore Terror is a three-piece death/grind band from Sweden formed in 2001 by members of such Swedish grindcore acts as Birdflesh, General Surgery, Entrails and Sayyadina.  Jigsore Terror formed as a side project to play  old-school death/grind metal in the veins of the early, brutal bands like Repulsion, Death, and Terrorizer.

Skitsystem

Skitsystem (literally "Shit System") is a Swedish crust punk band formed in early 1994. Their sound was heavily influenced by death metal and d-beat. The band members originally came from different death metal bands, bonding over a common interest in d-beat.  Initially the group was a side-project of two members of At the Gates.  The band announced in December 2007 that they were on indefinite hiatus.

Gorerotted

Gorerotted was a British death metal band formed in 1997 which split up in January 2008 and reformed with new members as The Rotted. Gorerotted's lyrics and song titles were largely inspired by horror films and serial killers. Musically, Gorerotted employed a distinctive dual vocal style, mixing deep-death growl vocals with high pitched yelling and screaming.

Vomitory

Vomitory is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1989 by guitarist Urban Gustafsson and bassist Ronnie Olson. The band has released a total of eight albums, and are currently signed to Metal Blade Records.  In February 2013, the band announced that they will be officially disbanding by the end of the year.

Extreme Noise Terror

Extreme Noise Terror (often abbreviated to ENT) are a British crust punk / grindcore band originally formed in Ipswich, England in 1985. The band are widely considered one of the earliest and most influential European grindcore bands, and particularly the forefathers of the crustgrind subgenre.  Notable for one of the earliest uses of dual vocalists in hardcore punk, Extreme Noise Terror started as a crust punk band and helped characterize the early, archetypal grindcore sound with fiercely political lyrics, grinding guitars, extremely fast tempo and often very short songs.

Zyklon

Zyklon was a Norwegian blackened death metal band formed in 1998 by Samoth and Trym of Emperor, along with members of Myrkskog. Their style has been described as modern death metal with black and industrial undertones. After more than a 2 year hiatus, the band officially split up in January 2010.  Zyklon is not to be confused with Zyklon-B, which was a past side project by members of Emperor, including Samoth and Ihsahn. The two bands are not related in any way other than name-similarities and Samoth's mutual membership.

Malevolent Creation

Malevolent Creation is a death metal band originally hailing from Buffalo, New York. In 1987 they moved to Florida and became an integral part of the emergent local death metal scene. Their debut album, The Ten Commandments, is considered a landmark of the genre, and they have remained highly influential and successful over their more than 20 year history.
